"DOLPHY"
Rodolfo Vera Quizon also known as "Dolphy" was born 25th of July in year 1928. [my birthday is on July 24th].
He is very known as King of Comedy here in the Philippines.
Since 1944 up to 2012 Dolphy is active in movie industry. He contributed a lot especially in big companies.
His most common Tv Sitcoms was John en Marsha with Nida Blanca and Home Along Da Riles with Nova Villa.
His latest movie was the "Father Jejemon" (2010).
In 2009, he was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. And admitted last June 16 2012 at Makati Medical Center complaining of shortness of breath and declared he has pneumonia.
His running fantasy sitcom was Pidol's Wonderland which aired at TV5.
I was watching TV5's Wiltime Bigtime until Wil approaches silence and received a text message. I knew something happened and Dolphy popped into my mind. I said "I think I know whats going on. =(". Then my boyfriend texted me "Patay na c dolphy :(". I felt so sad. He contributed a lot and he gave everything he can.. He will turn 84 sana this 25... I remember watching his Golden films @ch.11 which I really enjoyed.
He was awarded many awards which he deserves :)
